Jen Mihills is the Regional Executive Director for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center. Mihills leads program work in wildlife conservation, coastal resiliency, water policy, greenhouse gas reduction, and education. She has extensive experience in environmental policy, advocacy campaigns, and coalition building. Previously she served as the National Wildlife Federation’s Mid-Atlantic Associate Director and Regional Representative, supporting regional conservation work and building and maintaining strong relationships with affiliates and partners. Mihills was also the Associate Director for Natural Resources Conservation with the Delaware Nature Society, the National Wildlife Federation affiliate organization in the state. She began her career with the Science Education Partnership while earning an undergraduate degree in biology at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania.

Mihills currently is co-chair of the Choose Clean Water Coalition and is on the steering committee of the Maryland Climate Coalition and the leadership committee of the Maryland Green Classrooms Project focused on connecting children to the outdoors. Mihills grew up in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and spent many summers with her grandparents along the Susquehanna River. Those experiences instilled a deep appreciation of the natural world and have helped guide her career. She currently lives with her husband and son in Annapolis, Maryland.
