Where We Work

The Wildlife Conflict Resolution Program has been working in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem since 2002 on a program to retire livestock grazing allotments that experience chronic conflict with wildlife, especially grizzly bearswolvesbison, and bighorn sheep. Recently the program has expanded to multiple states in the west and now includes successfully retired allotments in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. Where We Work

More than one-third of U.S. fish and wildlife species are at risk of extinction in the coming decades. The National Wildlife Federation is on the ground in seven regions across the country, collaborating with 53 state and territory affiliates to reverse the crisis and ensure wildlife thrive.
