For many years, the National Wildlife Federation and the National Garden Club, Inc. have worked together. Gardening for wildlife in a variety of states, including launching efforts of Community Wildlife Habitats. Since 2015, our two organizations have worked together in creating more gardens for wildlife. Here are two ways NGC is encouraging its members involved:
We encourage NGC members to recognize their commitment to wildlife by providing and maintaining the basic elements for a healthy habitat on your property: Food, Water, Cover, Places to Raise Young, and Sustainable Gardening Practices.
The application will ask if you have minimum number of requirements for each element above.
Your certification educates and encourages others.
A new storymap connects the dots between extreme weather and climate change and illustrates the harm these disasters inflict on communities and wildlife.
