A Conservation Corps for the 21st Century

A Conservation Corps for the 21st Century:
Creating Jobs, Advancing Equity, Restoring the Great Lakes

Featuring Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and NWF’s Detroit Education Coordinator Antonio Cosme
Hosted by Great Lakes Regional Executive Director Mike Shriberg

Taking care of the ones we love in a time like this is top of mind for all of us. At the National Wildlife Federation, we believe the outdoors plays a vital role in our personal well-being, and that by working to protect and save it, we ultimately save ourselves. There’s a moment right now for significant federal investments in our natural areas that create jobs for those who most need them.

Our experts/panelists will discuss how a number of our conservation priorities are linked to putting people back to work, advancing equity, restoring our public lands, recovering wildlife populations, education our urban youth, and addressing the impacts of our changing climate in the Great Lakes region.

Recorded June 22, 2020
